Mindrush — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mindrush (“we”, “us”, the “app”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile game on iOS and Android. By using Mindrush you agree to this policy. If you have questions, contact us at mindrushgame@proton.me.

1. Information we collect

Automatically, to run the game:

• A randomly-generated anonymous device identifier we create on first launch, so your progress is saved without requiring an account.
• Gameplay data — scores, streaks, levels and challenges completed, accuracy/“insights”, and your daily practice commitment.
• Your device time zone, used to schedule reminder notifications at sensible local times.
• A push notification token (Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging) — only if you enable notifications — so we can deliver reminders.

To understand usage, fix problems, and improve the app, we collect:

• Coarse device and app information — your device model and manufacturer, operating-system version, app version, language/region, time zone, and (on Android) your mobile carrier name and whether you are on Wi-Fi or cellular. This is general device information and does not include your phone number, contacts, precise location, or advertising identifiers.
• An approximate country, determined from your IP address when you connect. We use it only to derive your country; we do not store your IP address in your profile.
• Product-analytics events and crash reports — basic events about how the app is used (for example, screens viewed and games or challenges started and completed) and diagnostic/crash reports, so we can see what needs improving and fix bugs.

If you choose to sign in (optional) with Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive from that provider your name, email address, and (for Google) your profile photo. We use these to save your progress across devices and to represent you in the app.

If you set a username, we store the username you choose.

2. Information shown publicly

Mindrush is a competitive game with leaderboards. Please note:

• If you are signed in, your display name and profile photo are shown publicly to other players on in-app leaderboards, next to your rank and score.
• If you stay anonymous, a randomly-generated handle (e.g. SwiftFalcon#1234) is shown instead of your name or photo.
• You control your public display name by setting a custom username at any time.

3. How we use information

• Provide, operate, and improve the game and save your progress.
• Compute rankings, leaderboards, and streaks.
• Send reminder notifications you have opted into.
• Detect and prevent cheating, abuse, and fraud.
• Manage your account and respond to your requests.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use third-party advertising networks. We share information only with the service providers needed to run the app:

• Apple and Google — to provide Sign in with Apple / Google (authentication).
• Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver notifications you enable.
• Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — product-analytics and crash reporting that help us understand how the app is used and fix problems. These are used for our own analytics and stability, not for advertising.
• Google Cloud Platform (application hosting) and Neon (PostgreSQL database) — where your data is processed and stored, in the United States.

Other players see only the public information described in Section 2.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account/profile is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the app (Settings → Delete account). You may also email us at mindrushgame@proton.me to request deletion.

6. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Sensitive values stored on your device (such as your session token and device identifier) are kept in the platform secure store (iOS Keychain / Android EncryptedSharedPreferences).

7. International users

Your information is processed and stored in the United States. By using Mindrush you consent to this transfer and processing.

8. Children

Mindrush is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can exercise deletion directly in-app, or contact us for any request at mindrushgame@proton.me.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
